about a year ago we began the demolition of a monument dedicated to José Antonio Primo de Rivera who was located a few meters from the Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona. The news came to the front pages of local media, including television public Catalan TV 3 - and caused the surprise of many who do not fully understand the present century XXI and in a city like Barcelona, a great monolith in honor of the leader of Fascism English.
A also surprised me, but not as many because it was unaware of the existence of the monument, if not because I saw that the vast majority of locals had few or very little knowledge of the city in which they live and which in turn had an interest in knowing much more of everything that surrounds them. That would not even have seen the monument of enormous size and in a crowded area, or that they had seen him did not know what represented , made me think that Barcelona was full of places and events to discover and show people.
was the moment that I decided to write this blog that at this time celebrates its first anniversary. Then know that there are many other blogs - good and not so good - over the city. Maybe if I had known I would not have not tried, but seen in perspective, and despite the overcrowding information, it's not so bad, the interest aroused by many visitors on some items taken for good all experience.
The numbers are low and very low - just 54 articles and 7000 visitors in a year, but I found little success very rewarding , as the inclusion of an article in the Wikipedia, the appearance of several posts thematic forums, or the inclusion of links this blog in several sites specializing in history.

On the origin of the visits there is little to discover, the vast majority are from countries English speaking, Spain is the leader in visitors. Of the 198 states in the world, the blog was visited by 64 of them. Stressing nations as far away as Senegal , Saudi Arabia or South Korea.
Anyway, this is a short summary of this adventure over a year. One way to encourage me to write more articles in 2010.
