Our next character is the Barcelona Norbert Font and Sagué ( 1874-1910) a prominent geologist and naturalist and pioneer in Spain of caving , the science that studies and investigates the caves and caverns. Font Mosen was also a member of the board of municipal museums and writer.
Norbert Font part of the Board of Natural Sciences of Barcelona from the beginning to the end which international exhibition of 1888, a cultural project that would fun to decorate the park with figures Ciutadella scale stone animals and dinosaurs that once populated Catalunya.
The first and only cloned animal was placed in 1906 Mamut spectacular. The death of Norbert Font in 1910 halted the project for good. The mammoth concrete restored during the mayoral Narcis Serra, measured over three meters and is located just a few meters from the cascade Ciutadella, which has become a must for children and adults.
The model of a Diplodocus that would be the next sculpture to be installed, as well as eleven other prehistoric dinosaurs failed project can be seen in the museum of geology.

At the initiative of Norbert collaborated Font two other prominent naturalists and geologists of the time. We talked about Jaume Almera and Artur Bofill, great scholars of indigenous animal species, who came to be present in some of the best conferences of geology in Europe.
The trail of three men in the city, is still visible. Norbert Font i Sagué has dedicated a square in the district of Sant Marti, also a prize caving to his name. Jaume Almera in turn gives its name to a street in the neighborhood of Horta and a research center under the CSIC (Higher Council for Scientific Research) counterbore Sciences Institute Earth Jaume Almera . Artur Bofill has no dedication on the street of the city, but gave way to the municipal museums much of his collection mollusc fossils and minerals that are preserved and exposed for all to enjoy.
